6260 Contracts Problem

Ive got a few problems w/ my new 6260, just got it yesterday...btw I previously owned a 6230 and a 9210...so I find things on my old 6230 thats missing in the 6260...here goes

1. when transfering contacts from my 9210 to my sim, all the numbers in my contacts with multiple numbers split, I understand coz my sim doesnt have the capablility of holding multiple entries per contact....and I copied those contacts from my sim to my 6260......Now heres my question, what is the best way (if there is one) of combining all my contact that has split to a single entry again...

example... in my 9210 One of my contacts is Joe who has two numbers (Cell and Home)....when transfering it to my sim, Joe split to two....Joe(1) and Joe (2)... now after transfering it to my 6260... the entry is still Joe(1) and Joe(2)...what is the best way to combine it back to Joe with 2 numbers?

2. I have some contacts in my 6260 with their home numbers placed under mobile, how can I change the type from Mobile to home? Theres a feature in my 6230 that easily change types but cudnt find it in the 6260....

I would appreciate any inputs 😊

You got quite a pickle here dude!

The way I'd go about it is if I didn't have too many contacts, I'd try and transfer contacts via IrDA. If, however, all the details are present, I guess the built in clipboard facility would help you transfer numbers from one to the other.

Apart from that, how about synchronising with a PC, making the changes you want and then synchronising it back again? At least that way you have the convenience of a PC's keyboard.

I havnt installed the software yet w/ my pc coz somthings wrong with the motherboard....I just did it one by one thru IR... thanks man 😊
