Cant access MMC Gallery — Nokia 6600 and 6620 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

I have a nokia 6600 and everything was working fine until now.

When I take a picture or a video clip, I store it in my memory card. To view it I would go to the gallery but from tonight Ive been having problems with it.

I go to the gallery, but when I try to select the "memory card" images, it takes me back out to the main menu, instead of showing me the "images" "sound clips" "video clips" etc folders

I have been checking if any pictures I take is saved onto the card but I dont think it is. When I take a pic, it says "saving image" and when I put the card in my card reader, the picture isnt stored on the memory card.

However I am able to record sound clips using the "recorder" and that is saved onto the memory card and I dont have any problems accessing that from my phone.

Anyone have any ideas what is wrong. Is it my phone or the card.

I suggest formatting the card,some of the system folders might be missing or corrupt?
After formatting on the phone (menu\tools\memory card\format mem card i think?) these folders are replaced.

I placed the memory card in my friends phone and I was able to access it so I am thinking maybe its something to do with my phone. I might reset it to factory settings.

Just re-formated the memory card and that appears to have done the trick.

yep thanx for the suggestion. I was hoping I wouldnt have to reformat as Ive now lost a few SMS files. Couldnt download a few aplpiations yesterday so had to reset the phone too. All working fine so far.
