Formatting ---> Re-lock ???

Hi guys and gals, I've been lurking in the background for quite a while and finally decided to register.

Ok, straight to the business...I have unlocked my 6600 a while ago and just a couple of weeks ago I had to format my phone due to some stubborn 3rd party application problems. Now I'm wondering if formatting re-locks my phone or not :con?

Formatting should be safe, but I can't say for sure, since I've never had a phone with a SIM-lock that's been unlocked. I've only had unlocked ("SIM-free"😉 phones.

Try it and let us know. 😉 We'll all be wiser after that (assuming you come back and tell us what happened).
