Problem regarding memory card

Hi guys! I got this beautiful 7610 a while ago, but now I'm having trouble with it. Somehow the memory card got "corrupted"! At least it says so when I go into menu->extras->memory..

Then it offers me to format the memory.. It says I will lose my images and things, but ok... I tried pushing it, and a red status bar goes over the screen.. Afterwards I can't close the "memory" application, and the card is still corrupted! Heeeelp! :frown:

Get a MMC Card Reader/Writer, use a program called MMC Medic and format the card on your computer.

Then re-insert into the phone.

Why pay up? I think since the entire phone is covered by warranty, it should apply to the MMC also. A memory card reader is really quite inexpensive and an essential accessory in today's digital world. You can simply format it in a reader or a friend's reader using XP. You will lose any data on it permanently, though. Before you do this I suggest you got to Nokia Service Centre and explain the problem. The least they should do for you is to re-install the applications that came with the memory card, even if they do not agree to replace it.

The first thing I did even before putting the memory card into the phone is take a complete backup of it using a card reader and every 15 days or so select 'include MMC' when backing up the phone.
