This white-paper still does not states wich is the maximum MP3 playback bitrate supported.
Any beta tester care to clarify this ?

Maybee those that (claim to) have a P800 in their posession can test an 128kbps MP3 file for the rest of us?...

No one of the beta testers have yet commented on the sound quality. I wonder why?... I have a bad feeling about this particular issue on the P800.
Hope I'm wrong.

I agree - fishy....someone needs to either confirm or deny that P800 can play decent MP3 music

The 128kbps is actually a waste of diskspace, you won't get the great sound of 128 with a mono device.

It's best to use wav's coverted for this phone like we do on the 7650/9210 with the Nokia multimediaconvertor. These wav's are half the size of a 128kbps mp3.

well... of course for the ringtones 128 kbits mp3s wont bring much...
but if one want to use the p800 as an mp3 player using an external headphone, it could be very interesting to know if indeed it is capable of playing 128 kbits mp3s.
