is there a way to control the 7650 by using a PC via IR or BT and use it a security cam and strem the video to the pc ???
(like the yahoo digital camera)
control 7650 from PC !!!
Hmmmmm Bluetooth Bathroom Camera !
We all know what you were thinking ! 😉
I am saying no more on the subject ! Apart from if this is what your thinking then be careful of water damage ! 😉
no no no i just want to use it in class man...
(i'm using the yahoo cam for the Bathroom 😊 )
The only thing you can do that is close to that what your thinking is message the 7650 to capture an image automaticaly by SMS! Another option would be with a timer!
how can i do that (the timer thing)???
to MaleBuffy
do you know where can i get a subzero avatar 😊
Here you go m8. Read the .pdf
Must i install the 2 SiS files or just either one of em' ?
It's a freeware or shareware or demoware?
Its freeware from Forum Nokia
The Camera Timer and Camera Remote are two different programs but some ppl have experienced problems jsut using the remote cam but his eventually got fixed by installing the Camera Timer app as well.
The one is for pictures u want to be in as well! Its like setting the timer to 10 secs and run up to your firends and voila a picture with u included!
The Remote camera on is very cool! If the programm is running and you have the cover open, by sending a message to the phone with the following text:
//RECA
the 7650 takes a picture and deletes, YES deletes the message as well! Quite cool eh?
Look at the PDF for more details!
You can either install just one or both! I does not matter!
Good job MaleBuffy, this looks some very very useful stuff.
First ill think of its practical uses, then forget them and use it for malicious useage. Thankyou 😊
wow, cool! next stop: make a program that takes videos by itself too!
after going thur the FAQ document on remote cam, i still don't understand how to go about doing it.
Question: How to control it from remote? Via PC or another phone with sms? Can anyone show step by step on configure it, please :cry:
I suppose you are talking abou the Remote Camera and not the Timer one!
Well here it goes!
U install it!
Run it!
options --> take picture
and leave it there with the cover open1
Send a text message with another phone to the 7650 with the message:
//RECA
it will capture a picture and delete the message received!
Hope that helps!
Thanks.. I follow the instruction from you, sent a text sms from another phone with msg : //RECA
It's don't work but have an error msg of some kernal memory stuff....... it's seem like don't work on my side... :-?
I get the message to! Strange! I used to play with it when I first got it and it worked fine! I will try to play with it a bit to see what I am doing wrong! :-?
Right I managed to make it work but I did not do anything different! However it woked just once! Weird :-?
It saves the image in c:\ and the name was aaaReca.jpg
I will keep you posted!
thanks man it's working for me just fine 😊
ps.
still looking for subzero..
Neat App!
I was going to use a Rayden Avatar, but thought it may look like Mortal Kombat was taking over the forum. 😃
Use a search engine like www.yahoo.com and search for Sub Zero Gif.
yet more functionality for the phone 😃
thanks for posting the files up malebuffy 😊
I've tried out the timer cam and was wondering if there was any way of getting it to play the photo/snapshot sound so u know when its taken, rather than having to count, or an audible cue as to when the picture is gonna be taken.. like a wav saying "smile!" lol 😃
i got the remote cam to work and take pictures with the sms message however it wont automatically save the image once it has taken it, is there anything i have to enable?
If ppl have problems with the remote cam software readthis!
In order for it to work on some 7650s (depends on FW I guess) you have to take the following steps!
* open the program remotreCam
* take a picture
* save it
Now you are ready to use it and it wont take an error!
In order for it to take pictures, you dont have to press take picture again!
just run the programm, let it at the screen where it says "Preview" and after recieving an SMS it will capture the image but not save it! I will get into the source code and try to modify it myself! I will keep you posted!
i noticed that the image was saved in C: but when i dont have eFileManager, then i can not see it?
is there a way to see the saved image without eFileManager or SeleQ?
for me the pic wouldnst save automatically and it would really help if it did cause who knows where u might leave the cam, 😊 and u dont know what pic the camera is taking, u would like to have all of them automatically saved
thanks MaleBuffy see if u can do something about it

I will try to look into it today! Cant promise anything due to my GF V70! (more like 7.0 😊 )
It will be done though and the auto-save as well!
LOL! This was very easy indeed! Took just 2 mins! I altered the source code but not compiled it yet! When I do so I will post them here!
Now the images are saved in the Images folder
It saves them automatically!
I will add support for saving multiple images with multiple SMS, so you can send i.e. 5 //RECA messages and it will take 5 image snapshots!
Ohh and I changed the Dodgy aaaReca.jpg into Remote.jpg. So know every image will have names like remote0.jpg, remote1.jpg etc.
I will try to improove this a little bit and then post the compiled version!
Happy posting!
Well guys! here we go! I made some changes in the RemoteCam app:
* Saves the Images in the IMAGES folder
* Renamed the lame aaaReca.jpg to Remote.jpg
* It saves the Images automaticaly - Dont have to select Save Image
Next version will include multiple Images i.e. Remote1.jpg Remote2.jpg etc. I had some problems with it so I decided not to include it yet! Sorry
Edited: I fixed the bug now the Program is 100% working! The file now is in the C++ section! Link can be found here!
Here you go m8. Read the .pdf
how do i install these program onto the phone there .ZIP files
You unzip the file and a RemoteCam.Sis is created! You send this file to the phone in your inbox or install it with PC Suite!
I still got the Kernal error msg... seem like it can not make it... What's wrong with it? Anyone can help me with this? 😞
Try to download the latest version! If you did, then try to take a picture going to options --- take picture! It will save it automatically in the Images folder! Then try it with the //RECA message! If you have still a problem I will have to investigate further! Anyone else using the latest version and having problems?
Uh oh... i still got the same error
App. close
remotecam
Kern-exec 0
or
General Error
i wonder why...
