Inserted my MMC from previous N6600 which had FExplorer sitting on it. 9500 tries to install app, fails, yet puts FE icon in Desk from where it cannot be moved or zapped. Any ideas? TIA.
Can't delete app icon in Desk
I'm having the same problem too. Was converting files from my 9210 via the Data Transfer software included in the 9500. The application crashed once (at the 95% mark!), but was able to resume after restarting the app. I needed to transfer my notes in the Desktop of my 9210 to my 9500. I also had some shortcuts on my 9210 desktop (ie. calculator, clock, etc.) . However, after the transfer, I now have 3 clock icons and 3 calculator icons on my 9500 desktop, and i cannot just delete the item. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?
You need to use the data mover tool to convert the MMC for use with the 9500. (All it does is rename the system folder to system.9210 so I'm assuming that if you do the same rename you'll find the apps vanish from desk.
