Im wondering if anyone has had the same problem with their phone... if so, perhaps you could help me in finding a solution ..
My 6600 doesnt play a message tone when I receive an SMS.. everything in the profiles settings is ok, the alert tone has been checked and activated... but it just wont ring... sometimes it goes crazy and works for a day and then stops again ?
Has anyone else found the same difficulty?

Got the same problem, sometimes i get a nclist or something error and sometimes it just wont notify. I got the latest firmware and have removed most applications from the phone but it's still the same
I have the same problem! Does anyone know how to fix this?? Help us pleasee 😞
I have just started having the same problem today too. The little envelope appears when i receive a text, but there's no tone, vibration or proper message alert on the screen!(i.e. "1 message received"😉 I am considering doing a deep reformat if need be but would rather avoid it...any solutions? I have already done a settings reset but this hasn't worked.
My 6600 has just started doing this today too!
It also has some messages stuck in the drafts folder that wont delete, and one stuck in the outbox that I cant get rid of 😞
While im at it, it wont let me delete pictures from the gallery either, it comes up "unable to delete image???" I have to delete them using FExplorer which is a right pain.
Fomatted memory card and it is working fine now :/
No idea what brought it on though, and lost a lot of info that I couldnt back up, mainly texts 😞
I've also had this prob once with my n80ie..
then i deleted all my text(Yes, all of it)😮
then reboot the phone.. now i got my message tone back..
