New 6620 never rings.

I recently purchased a 6620 from eBay. It was branded for AT&T but was unlocked. Everything except to phone itself was still plastic wrapped in the box. The phone still had the screen protector. The phone after being charged will not ring nor will the loudspeaker function work. I have attempted a factory reset three times, and I formated the mmc once. I have throughly checked and changed the profile options. Nothings have helped my problem. Vibration, key pad tones, and calls are fine. Is there a possibility of problems with the software or is a speaker shot and I need to send it back?
