Hi!...

Just wondering if someone tested the RSMMC hot swap...

if it is possible for example to install some apps on one RSMMC and without turn off the phone change to another RSMMC with other apps on it (or files like pics or mp3) ... and then run that apps... that work fine?, what happend to the icons of apps that doesnt exist anymore on menu if you click over them?...

I think that is one of the reassons for that easy socket access for RSMMC ... or not?

thanks!

Sure. Works fine. Apps on a removed memory card disappear from the menu.

Note, however, that the 6630 only works with so called dual-voltage RS-MMC cards (also known as "MMCmobile" cards according to http://www.mmca.org/) that support both 1.8V and 3.3V (the 6630 needs the 1.8V).

Hi!...

ok .. good!.. thanks!

yes i knkow about the DV RSMMC...

i post this some time ago:

http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/29276/&page=2

but nobody buy and try that cards yet i think...

Some one at Nokia service told someone here in this forum that Pretec ans SanDisk cards are the only supported for 6630 by now... so i think that new
Pretec series could work...

may be some day someone test that 😉

SanDisk does not make any dual-voltage RS-MMC size cards (yet?) from what I've heard.

Yes, but be careful

I just f#*cked my 32 MB Card, by removing it whiile running mp3..
The only problem is that it could get a key to "unlock" card so it didnt crased or get bad clusters :\

Now im hopping Vodafone sends me the 64 MB they promissed on the Package 😊
