Hey all, I've always wondered if there was any way that you could configure the N-Gage to receive info via Bluetooth to the MMC instead of the highly restricted internal memory..
Do any of you know of a way to do this, using special software perhaps?
Thanks in advance for any responses =)

the ngage does not have the option of saving messages to the MMc card thru the OS
ull have to install another software
MsgDriveE also has some problems...
When you install that..and then u listen to mp3...you cannot open any text or mutimedia messages and you cannot retrieve mms if you are listenin to mp3 and using messaging..So it becomes a bit of a problem... :frown:
But what i do is that i have my message memory setup as device and whenever i want to receive any large files thru bluetooth, i install MsgDriveE and then receive big files as it gives that problem.. :icon14:
IMO the safest thing to do is use Epocware's PC File Manager.
Arigatou for the help and suggestions everyone =)
Is Message Drive E free software, and if so where can I find it?
Thanks again!
Hi,
The file is attached below...
What you need to do is that you need to copy this file thru your pc into the root directory thru the data cable...then take off your data cable and then goto the manager which is there in tools...there you will find this file...install it...
After you have installed it,an icon will appear in your menu...as MsgDrive..click over it...your cellphone will hang for approx 5-10 seconds..at that point just keep the menu button pressing and then you will see the list of applications open..from there close MsgDrive...
Now go into your messages..there on the top left corner you will see a memory card icon..this confirms that your message memory is on the memory card..You will receive any size of files thru the bluetooth (depending on the size of mmc)...Now, be sure to remove the installed files of MsgDrive from the manager...
Also, letme inform you that on doing this, all your messages which were there in the phone memory get deleted..but they canbe retrieved back into your device memory..
If you want your message memory as your device memory..just switch off your handset.take off the mmc..then switch the handset back on..on this..when you get into messages, you get a popup saying that no memory card found..so messages willbe stored into the device memory..and you can see all your old messages in the inbox which were there prior to the installation of MsgDrive....
If you want your message memory back to the memory card..follow the same procedure of installing MsgDrive....
Also, there are some flaws in using the message memory as you memory card...
You cannot listen to the music player and view/forward/reply/retrive any messages from your inbox as both are sourced from the mmc...
Hence, i install MsgDrive only when i require to retrive big files thru bluetooth and rest of the times my message memory is the device memory...
Hope this helps ya! :icon14:
Please revert for any queries...
Thanks so much for your great guidlines Faraaz, I'll be sure to give it a shot right away!
Cheers for now =)

Ngage dont have that option. U should use msedrive. An ngage patch to use d mmc for msg and bluetooth data
