Hey ppl ..
Long time no see .. wuz in the 3660 threads b4 as i owned a N3660 :tongue: .. newayz i bought a N6260 just yesterday .. 😎
Now b4 i sold the 3660 .. i had my phone backed up in nokia pc suit .. ( including the contacts) .. i dunt care abt the rest of the stuff .. but the contacts and other backup as it seems .. are stored in individual files around 80 files .. now i need only the contacts into my N6260 .. i installed the pc suit with N6260 (v6.2) i really need my contacts into my 6260 .. any way i can get it ? ..
Just a weird thought ... >> can i connect my 6260 with pc suit of 3660 ? will try that after college .. 🙄
Any idea on how to get my backedup contacts of 3660 in pc suit to my N6260 will be appriciated ..

Im in the same boat man, and i cant find any solution to recover my contacts too.
I also tryed using nokia 3650 pc suite but no way it will connect to 6260, and because in order to start up it needs to detect the 3650 first, no restore 😞
I dont know why nokia didnt keep backup and restore compatible, anyone has any ideas?

Hmmm .. well m at college now .. and ave got a 3660 .. so leme see what i can do with this .. lol ..

This may seem like a dull way of doing it, but what you can do is Mark all your contacts and send go to send them as an e-mail. They will all be stored in the one e-mail as attachments. Once sent from your 3650 (I'm assuming that the 3650 will let you do this), you can read the e-mail on your 6260 and save each attachment.
It's still cumbersome, but not that bad if you only have to do it once.

I tried out backup 8250 contacts by Nokia PC suite v6.4 and transfer contacts backup to Nokia 6260 works fine.
Backup file extenstion is filename.nfb.
It will ask overwrite or add new, I select overwrite.
i would suggest to sync your contacts of the 3660 with outlook (if this is possible) and then sync outlook with the 6260. hope this works!
