I see people on here all the time saying that they can run Sonic at 20fps, or NES roms run at full speed, but that's not the case with my phone. I'd be lucky to get 5 or 6 fps in Sonic, and even most games in Goboy are unplayably slow (Tetris isn't even full speed). Gamephone Advance is slightly faster, but I think that's because it doesn't have working sound for me. Yewnes is also very slow, things like Mario are unplayable.
Are people just exaggering when they say theirs can run games smoothly, or is there something wrong with my phone? I've tried a format but it didn't make any difference.
nah i got picodrive and goboy on my 6600 and they run fine.what phone you usin
I've got a 6600 too. I've played other things like Doom and they run at full speed, it's just the emulators which are slow. Seems strange.
might be just ya phone then.could depend on what size mmc u got,how much of its used, the biggest size file etc.theres a program called memory monitor which lets u close stuff u aint usin so that might help it run faster
I'm running a nokia 6620 and I can definately assure that it emulates Picodrive, YewNes, and Goboy tons faster than the N-gage....
Alright, thanks both of you.
What do you mean when you say it emulates them faster than the N-gage though? Do you mean that your 6620 can run those emulators faster than the N-gage runs the emulators?
Just for example if you were running Mario or something in Yewnes, approximately what frame rate would you get? Is it a comparable speed to an emulator on a computer, or 20fps maybe, or even slower? Just want to know what I should be trying to expect...
Thanks
