Free Transflash memory card

In Australia, the A1000 is sold without a memory card. I questioned this with 3 at the time because the manual said it should have a card in the box (but not in some countries).

Subsequently, having found out there is heaps of neat UIQ software available, I was running out of space. I went to 3 to find out how much a memory card was. They asked me when I bought the A1000 and then gave me a free 'Music Pack' which included a 32Mb transflash memory card, a SD adapter and headphones.

Didn't even have to show them my phone - they just gave it to me. Thanks 3!

Of course, I need a bigger card now... still don't know where to get one.

Cheers,
Dave

harvey norman has them for rather cheap, you can get a 256mb for $80 and a 512mb for $100-$120.. where in australia are you? if you're in sydney there's a hi-fi shop in the cbd (its got a huge sony logo as you're walking down the stairs) that sells 1gb cards for $200..

and there's also ebay, apparently there are several brand new sd cards floating around for about 2/3 of the prices i've mentioned..

Thanx - what is the name of that shop? I will give them a call.

By 'sd cards' you mean Transflash cards for A1000, right?

I've just been looking at some stores on the internet - it looks like the biggest Transflash card you can get at the moment in Australia is 128Mb. $51 seems to be the current best price.

Perhaps you were talking about a different type of flash card?

ah oops i completely overlooked that.. i thought the a1000 worked with sd cards as well (i dont actually have one though)? if not that'd be a bit of a downgrade from a925..
