256MB MMC problem on Nokia 3650 ! — Nokia 3650, 3660, and 3620

i've a nokia 3650

Traxdata 256MB mmc card (wich isn't working)
i've tried to format it with a PC card reader (this works)
Even my Nokia can format the 256mb card
When it starts up, no problems
I go to the menu, and then to "images"
i see all my maps on my 256 mb card: Images, Sounds, Videos etc
when i want to open the map: "images" it gives a error: "Images: system error (-20)
it's keeping telling me, "system error (-20)" till i press several times "exit" (right button)
when i put my backupped system map from my 128 mb card to my 256 mb, it will start up
i see all my messages in my inbox (when i copied the system/mail map from my 128mb to my 256mb card)
BUTTTT i can't receive any messages, he will put automaticly my mail memory to PHONE memory
i'm getting madder & madder when i'm writing this all
point: My nokia is seeing my 256mb card, but when i wanna work with it, IT WONT WORK
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaseee help me,
i won't beleive it's the brand : Traxdata,
I even tried MMC Medic, he formatted it, (after my ok click on this question:"this mmc isn't corrupted, want to format it?"😉

Well i too tried a microSim 256Mb MMC but i was later frustrated and am now
using a 128MB mmc.

A 256MB can only store images and your audio but messaging and camera nor
the backup feature dont work properly with the 256MB mmc.

So i love my 128mb MMC and i am using it only.

Bios Version same as yours

Some brands of 256MB MMCs and even 512MB work just fine.One brand that pops up is TEC or TECIC.

I had an N-gage with a 256 TwinMos card in it and it worked fine. I'm planning on getting a 3650 with the money I get for my Samsung e700. I also want to get a 512 mmc card now and I'm just curious of anybody knows will a Veritech or Transcend work? Transcend is a tad more but if it's the difference between it working or not I'll pay it.

@GhostDog - are you sure TEC or TECIC 256 and 512 work properly with
the following firmware [3.16 Date 20-05-03 nhl-8] does it work properly with
messaging and camera coz when i configure a camera or messaging with a
128Mb plus MMC it gives me error

I haven't tried it myself since i don't own a 3650,but people have reported it to work.

I got no problems with my 128MB card. I can take photo's, store video's, sounds and mp3's, send & recieve messages... I thought brands wouldn't be any factor. But i think it is... :redface:
