I installed both Verdana and Arial from Windows (you can find them in eg. c:\Windows\Fonts using the commandline) by simply copying them to c:\System\Fonts (the directory needs to be created first) on the Communicator. The fonts improve web browsing greatly (Symbian's font rendering engine seems pretty good compared to eg. Freetype on Linux).

How can I copy to the C:\system\fonts...... I do not see the c: directory in full on PC Suite. Thanks for helping
Copy them to anywhere on C: then move them to system/fonts using the file manager on the device.

While in file manager, go the "setting" menu & turn on the "see system directory"

How do I change the font on the browser? I've done everything including create the "font" file and copied the font from windows. I have both times roman and aerial.
