9500 Questions

Hi, I have upgraded from a 9210i to a 9500 and am loving the phone. I only have a few questions.

1. I used the transfer utility to transfer all my data. The problem I'm having is that I have assigned certain ringtones to contacts to distinguish between my clients, family and friends. The tones have been copied and under the contacts it does list the tone, yet the general ringtone assigned to the profile rings instead, I have found that I need to edit each contact and reassign the tone, which can be a mission with over 800 contacts.

2. Is there a spell check and thesaurus? I use it daily-yes my spelling is bad 😊

3. Battery life. I find that if I don't use Bluetooth or WiFi I get max 1 1/12 days, keeping in mind my phone is on 24/7. As soon as my battery drops 2 bars from the top the battery runs flat within hours. Anyone else experiencing that?

Other than those the usual non vibrate and non predictive text is frustrating.

1.well when u transfer the data did u move the file that had all the ringtones in it?
that coul be the reason

2.im afraid not.(so is mine :icon13: )

3.well my battery lasts about 2-3 days with atleast 1 hour of wifi
how much talk time in a day do u use?
do u use any gprs?

i agree not having vibrating(although the pda2k has)
sure it has a not to strong vibra but atleast its there

hopefully nokia will implent it in future models

The ringtones were copied across and play when I play them manually.

I talk about an hour a day with 45min of WiFi (if that)

Hopefully the 9500i will have vibrate 😊

i doubt there will be a 9500i
with the 9210 it was a smart move by upgraing to add more ram

while the 9500 is complete in every way
cant think of a way to upgrade it

megapixel camera - pointless, cameras on these things are crap, vga is more than adequate, if you want a decent picture get a digi camera.

Vibrate, same reason as the others didn't have it, the vibrator would have to be too big to shake the phone enough, which in turn would need a bigger case etc etc.

T9 I'm still surprised that that is missing, hell when i bought it the spec sheet listed it as having T9... bastards.
