Hacking the firmware

Vodafone are clearly not playing ball in approving the latest firmware release. I think we can expect this with future releases too.

Given the success some forum members have had with creating themes, what are the chances of hacking a 60C firmware that will run on a Vodafone handset?

A google search hasn't turned up much. I'm quite happy though with hex editors. binary and the like if anyone can suggest a line of enquiry!

Anyone tried anything like this?

Vodafone HAVE now approved the latest firmware! It should be on the Sendo website in the next few days, if not sooner!

We've been told the next few day for days... no weeks... no probably even months now. I say if someone has a solution for a hack then can they let everyone know so that we can all do it as we cant wait for Vodafone to pussy foot around any longer.

The Sendo X is clearly not Vodafone's priority, they just wanted rid of it off their shelves (like a lot of people now want rid of theirs on ebay!), hence the reason for not having large supplies, not really pushing it and not giving us any support.

Stuclark is right. I have also been advised they have now received approval and it will be on hopefully today or tomorrow.

See...I speaketh not with forked tongue!

"Sooner" would mean NOW, but unfotunately it's not there yet (just checked), however Kev did say it would be very quick.

I checked this morning aswell. Maybe later on today since its only 10:10am?

It must not take too long to put something on the server
