Hi. Is there any chance to connect this phone via USB cable with computer with Win98 installed? I know I can do anything via BT but I do not have it😞 If anybody has any idea how to send and recieve data via cabel without XP/2000 please help.

The driver that you need does not support 98 and without that, you can't.
When I connect the phone with the cable, win sees 7610 and asks me for the drivers, can I find this driver anywhere on the net? Or should I just forget it ? :frown:
The drivers are on the CD that came with the cable, but they do not support Windows 9x.
So there is no win9x drivers for this phone at all and I cant find this anywhere ?

My suggestion is to buy a card reader, if you do not want to upgrade to xp. You can use the function of backing up to MMC and then periodically copy the contents of the MMC to your PC using the card reader so you will have backup etc. I think you should also be able to use this to copy downloaded program / theme files to your MMC and then they will install when you open it from file manager. Some programs like SmartvCard / SmartvCal will help you backup your contacts / calendar to Outlook, etc.
It will be somewhat more tedious than directly using Nokia PC Suite but aat least you will be able to do most things with your phone/PC.
Thank you for sugestions, the cost of card reader is almost the same as the Bluetooth dongle which is better idea especially that I have standard 64MB MMC and I'm not planning to copy big files to this card. I decided to instal XP as a second system,I should have done this long time ago when I could't have upgraded SX1 without it.

Even if you manage to connect this phone to Windows 98SE, there is no nokia software to support it.... get a new version of windows
