Hey ppl ..

OK herez the deal .. M SICK of trying to install n connect my 6260 with PC suit 6.4 .. which i recently d'loaded from the nokia site ...

Now .. herez my config stat :
MSI bluetooth PC2PC dongle ( driver version 1.4.3.4)
PC suit 6.4

now .. i see that the bluetooth is ON and the white icon can be seen in the tray .. but the connection status shows "Phone Disconnected" where as the Sync shows "Connected to (no name)" i updated my drivers and stuff for my bluetooth .. now i do realise that the PC suit needs SP2 .. but for sumreason the PC SUIT i d'loaded off the site dosent show me a warning while installation unlike the one i got with the phone on a cd ... to use SP2 .. and then install ... its a perfect installation .. (i dunt use SP2)
OK .. now i also know that we need to use a serial port connection for PC SUIT ... cause i used to do that for my 3660 .. but now i cant see the serial port thingy in my BT services .. when i try to configure the service .. it shows "DEVICE '*******' DOES NOT SUPPORT SERVICE 'BLUETOOTH SERIAL PORT' " ...
Does this mean that 6260 cant support serial port connections :S ... m confused n totally frustrated ...
Any sort of detailed help would be appriciated folks ...

PLz help ...
Thankx in advance ..

The 6260 does not support serial port connentions. It's a pain in the arse as I found this a great feature on my old 3650.
There is a cable (DKU2) which is supposed to enable a constant connention between phone and pc, but I haven't tried it yet.
If anyone else has had any luck with the cable, please share your experiences

hmmm .. i have a bluetooth .. so need sumone to help me out with that 😞 .. i guess the cable is more dependable ...

i use win2k and find that the bluetooth connection to my 6260 is great. i have set the connection to authorised on the phone so they conect straight away. all i have to do is open pc suite, then click the install application program. when this has opened there is a series of buttons above the two "file" windows (i hope this is making sense 😊 ) above the right hand side one, there is a little phone icon. click that and you can choose the connection you want to use. click on bluetooth and it takes you to a choose device window. wait a while (about 5-10 seconds) and then my 6260 shows up in there.a select it and then away you go.

this works every time for me,
to end the connection, i just turn the bluetooth off at the phone.

hope this helps you

Well, I feel like a big Thicko.

Following Dansansome's simple instructions I connected both phone and pc in two minutes,
I've been trying for two months or more and searched every where for info.

Thanks to you Dansansome, MERRY CHRISTMAS.
