hi
as 4th quater of 2004 is going to end and i have saw a link which is giving 7710
does anyone know is it avable and dosn't any one saw it in market.

i have not seen 7710 in stores here in bombay india. i don't think its arriving here in bombay before feb 2005. what do you think ?

Bombay and Delhi are two main and important cities of India if it come it would be avalible with in a week in that.

well there are no reviews of this phone anywhere on internet. Nobody is even saying that they own 7710. I think online web sites which are selling 7710 are taking pre-orders and delivery time is around 15 days and if anyone have 7710 then it must be pre-mature release of this phone. I am positive nokia don't have 7710 to sell for next 30 days. what do ya think? 😎

anyway i am waiting to see its review so that i may buy it. 😊

If it is availble in malaysia then must be avalible in singapore.
Do any one lives in singapore confirm it or in dubai.

hey I just came to know its available in Bombay India for 29k. rohan at mobile burn have bought it and he also have his own review on the phone.

I am excited. :trytofly:

I'm in Bangkok, and bought my 7710 on Saturday at the Nokia shop at the Emporium. 24,00 Baht (about US$620).

It's a great phone, but I find it missing some features I'd got used to on my 6600.

For example, there's no Default Number assignable to a Contact. You're presented with ALL numbers when you bring up a contact name, and you have to have to select which one you want to use...not easy on a touch-screen when you're in a hurry.

The Night Mode has disappeared from the Camera, and for a 1MB resolution I find it doesn't handle unusual light very well.

You can't select a pic in your Image Gallery and assign it as your wallpaper. That can only be done via a search on your Desktop.

There's no vibrate option for an incoming message or email...only for phone calls.

The File Manager is clunky, compared to some of the other Symbian file management apps available for other models.

And, of course, there's no 3rd-party software available for the 7710 yet.

But it's a great toy, and it's other features like Visual Radio and the full-blown Web browser are outstanding!! 😃

@Vicky- where did you order your 7710 from?

I have purchased one from eBay and Fedex tracking says it should be with me tomorrow (let's hope its not DOA!)

Looks like she's finally available in India officially.

Techtree.com reports:
"Nokia has announced that the Nokia 7710 widescreen multimedia smartphone with pen input is now officially available in the country. At 640 x 320 pixels, the model has the largest screen, the company said.

The N7710 includes an Internet browser, integrated MP3 music player with stereo audio, a set of video features, mega pixel camera with 2-x digital zoom, presentation viewers, Word and sheet converters, FM radio and a touch screen.

"The Nokia 7710 is an ultimate experience for business professionals on the move. Its widescreen multimedia smartphone keeps users organized, entertained and in the know. The ability to create and share living images and electrifying sounds using compelling multimedia features extends an intense experience to Nokia 7710 users," said Gautam Advani, Multimedia Business Director, Nokia India.

The phone has 128 MB internal memory (80-90 MB for user) and 128 MB external memory on the included multimedia card (MMC). It also has personal information management features, an on-screen keyboard and handwriting recognition. The connectivity options for the Nokia 7710 include a Pop Port connector with USB and Bluetooth wireless technology for easy data transfer and PC synchronization. It runs on Symbian OS."

There's no indication of the price in the article unfortunately. But at 25k, :hmmmm: I want. :eating:
