Hi, I got my A1000 unlocked. Orange works fine on it except for internet access.
The browser does not give you the option of which internet connection to use.(3 is your only option).
I have found a way around it. Not perfect, but better than nothing.
Unlike the browser, the email options lets you use any internet connection that you have set up.
So after you have set up an internet connection, set up an email account telling it to use that connection. In your email account, click on "receive and send" and that gets you online. Open your browser and it thinks that you are online to 3. And you are on the internet!
Sometimes however, you get cut off (probably by the email connection stopping), but click "receive and send" again.
Hope this helps!
internet access.
QWeb (the default browser) also lets you choose the internet connection if you first disconnect from the default connection. To disconnect, choose 'Disconnect' from the menu in the browser. Then when you select a bookmark you will get asked which connection you want to use. Be sure to select the bookmark quickly because the default connection will reconnect after 20-30 seconds.

Hi, Unfortunately that doesn't work with mine.
I am in the UK and am with Orange.
Do you know what the settings should be in the "Log in ", "Proxy" and "Other" parts of the "advanced" section. Afraid I am at a loss, regarding those.
Cheers.
By the way, I don't seem to have the QWEB Browser.
I am currently working on to allow UK Three users to use the internet.
I am not wanting to post any info yet as I don't want Three getting wind of this before I go ahead, but if anyone has any knowledge of their walled garden (proper decent knowledge) then please PM me.
Thanks

It really is a terrible waste of a great phone.I am not wanting to post any info yet as I don't want Three getting wind of this before I go ahead, but if anyone has any knowledge of their walled garden (proper decent knowledge) then please PM me.
Thanks
I am not a whizz kid on technical information, but let me know if I can help! What type of knowledge would be helpful?
If anyone knows any specifics on their walled system are if they monitor any ports etc....
Can't really say too much at the moment as it would give the idea away and then Three may stop it before I get it going.
May not work, but it's worth a try.
