Connection to this number is restricted on this phone — Sendo X & X2

I have a Sendo X on Vodafone in the UK....

Every time i try to make a call, I get a woman saying "Connection to this number is restricted on this phone" even if I dial 191 for customer services!!!

I also cannot send text messages, although I can receive both texts and calls.

I tried resetting the memory by holding down 5 on startup... this enabled me to start making calls but not to send txts... after a while it has gone back to denying both calls and txts... and despite 2 reformats will not do jacksh�t...

really really annoyed... has anyone had any similar problems???

Voda say its a handset issue btw. i dont believe them 100% as the woman that says it is the same voice as voda use for this number cannot be reached (when calling from landline for instance...)

It sounds really strange this problem of yours. I have never heard of it before. So I can't help ya sorry.

My only advice is too deliver it back and claim to be DOA (Dead on arrival). In that case you will get a brand new Sendo X.

Highly unlikely to be a handset issue by the sound of it...more likely some account restriction or possibly SIM fault.

Are you sure that your phone has not been blacklisted by the network?

finally sorted this....

was a problem with my a/c @ vodafone after all...
the 1st customer rep was obviously useless as the next one i spoke to sorted it immediately!

sorry to have wasted ur time... but cheers for the tips anyway
