My MP3 PLAYER LOADS TOO SLOW!!

What can I do?
Is there a way to write n-gage some instuctions to not scan for new mp3 every time?

one hint is not to exit the MP3 player, but to tap the System button (the two squares in a circle swish) and keep it open, but in the background.

As longs as it';s not playing (at idle) no. Symbian OS shuld 'sleep' any background program not performing an action.

im getting the same problem, just takes forever to load. I tried 3rd party mp3 players for some reason they dont sound as good as the standard one. I thought it might have something to do with my mmc card but looks like it isnt now

yes that is because the mp3 player doesnt maintain a playlist file so everytime a music player is launched it has to scan the directories for mp3 files and then lock up the memory card
it would help if you had more free space on ur memory card cuz that would mean less folders to scan
when i first got my 512mb card things were amazingly quick compared to my old 256 one. but as i filled stuff up it got worse.
