Hi,

Happy New Year to everyone.

I have encountered a problem over the past few days that when I try sync my 9500 with Outook 2003 SyncML brings up an error within 2 seconds.

I remember going to Conn. Manager and removing the Profile in there.

I have donwloaded the latest PC Suite 6.41 yet still have the problem. I have tried via Cable and Bluetooth.

Any suggestions?

Tnx
Ari

Try resetting your PC Sync profile from the control panel.

Also, sometimes you need to allow access from outlook when syncing.

What are the errors you are getting? Are they Syncml authentication and server errors?

Hi,

How do I reset the PC Sync profile in Control Panel? Can't find anything there.

The error I get as I press the Sync icon on my pc is "The SyncML client has not responded" and this happens within 3 secodns of pressing the synchronise icon.

Tnx

i also use sync & outlook 2003 on Win XP SP2. i sync via BT. all i have to do is to put my phones BT on & in a few seconds the Sync Software on my laptop shows "PHONE CONNECTED" only once your phones connected can u sync. Yes outlook will ask you to give permission to accss its dadabase. i usually give me 10mins access permission.

Its so simple & easy. now if you have connection problems , thats another issue.

What i would suggest is :-
1. Uninstall PC SUITE / Connection Manager.
2. Restart PC
3. Install the one that came in the CD
4. Restart PC

If you have BT problems, try to uninstall BT drivers & load them again.

Hey Guys,

I sorted out the problem. I formatted my 9500 because I was having other small problems. Tried to Sync afterwards and it gave me an authentication error, so i removed the username and password under SyncML settings on the PC Suite and I'm up and running again 😊

I cant even open the properties on pc suit.
I just installed the new 6.4 version and still no luck.
It connect i can copy file between the phone and pc, and backup/restore

But no sync... at all.
Any idea what could cause this?

Really at a loss...

I have the same problem starting the synch from the PC.
Meybe it's from Palm software installed. I found no MS ActiveSync though...
A possible workaround is to start the synch from the phone. That worked for me.

I solved it both ways.
Just had to reconfigure the Sync on the PC:
Synch tray icon > Phone Selector > ...
chose the mobile phone again, another password and that's it.
Tip: also go to Bluetooth in mobile and allow authorization for always for thew PC.
That avoids the anoying question to accept the PC connection.
