6670 in the USA with Suncom/At&t

Has anyone gotten their 6670 to work with Suncom's i-Net service ? (east coast USA). Suncom is a subsidiary of AT&T with just merged with Cingular.

I've been trying to configure my new 6670 (asian version) to connect with my service provider Suncom and their i-Net internet service but haven't been having much luck.

I upgraded from a 3120 to have the functionality of a symbian phone -- the 3120 worked great with the i-Net service but the 6670 is having trouble.

I've gotten sms settings from both Suncom and Nokia (after telling me that they don't support the phone, they sent settings that might work) and configured my connection settings accordingly.

According to the Connections Manager, I have established an active GPRS connection and am uploading data, but I can't seem to recieve any data. The square "G" is present but nothing comes up on the web browser (both the built in and NetFront).

I get an error saying "Invalid DNS value specified ... then the url I tried to access".

My configuration message states the following:

Provider: i-Net
Data bearer: GPRS
Access Point: mobileinternet
Authentication: normal
Gateway IP address: 066.150.237.195
web address: http://mobileinternet
Connection Security: off

And that's all it says --

I 've left username, password blank, phone IP address to automatic

My questions is also -- where do I key in the gateway IP address ? (Primary DNS, secondary DNS, proxy server address ?)

Well I tried them all, also with them all filled in to the same Ip address.

Also upon recommendation from Nokia and Suncom, I tried proxy port settings of 8080 and 9201. I've also set my GPRS setting to "when available".

All came up with the same error message.

This is frustrating because I am able to establish a GPRS connection and upload. But it seems that data is being blocked from being sent to me.

Much appreciation and thanks in advance to anyone who can provide me a clue. Everything else is working fine.

thanks,
Jay

Well --

It seems as though the settings that I posted from above now work --

the only thing new I activated was in the GPRS settings -- I have it set to "when available", previously it was set to "when needed".

Hope this helps someone,
Jay
