Hi,
Has anyone had success to connect through bluetooth via ip-passthrogh to a remote host or internet?
I tried it, but it wasn't working. I was calling for help on Nokia CareLine and they said me:
You need special application called network bridge, but we haven't it, but we are still working on this. We will have it a few weeks later. Try call us later.
When ever it is available, it is will most likely be downloadable from http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite or possibly http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,63519,00.html
Whenever is it available??? When? I don't undestand you. Network bridge isn't same as modem driver and PcSuite hasn't support for IP Passthrough. With modem driver and PcSuite you can connect computer to internet via communicator but you can't connect communicator to internet via computer. For this you need special application called Network bridge. Nokia says, it will be available in a few weeks later.
I think it is perfectly clear: When ever (what ever time and day in the future when it happens) that particular piece of software (Network Bridge) is made available by Nokia, it will be available (downloadable) in either or both the locations I listed.
Now I understand. It's true. It was clear. My mistake. English isn't my primary language.
ive tried this...
1. control panel>connections>cable setup--- set this to IP passthrough
2. control panel>connections>internet setup---setup a new access point with network ID as Internet & network setting type as IP passthrough.. in advanced setup i setup the IP as auto retrieve IP & no proxy.
now when i use WEB & try to go to www.google.com, it says attempting to connect to IP Passthrough & then it says connected, but then nothing further. i just cant access any site after it says connected.
my laptop is connect to my office network with a specific IP. i want this net access to pass through to my phone via the cable.
Didn't you read this thread, before you posted, HyPeR? What's said above your post is that you will need an additional piece of software, which is not yet available.

yes i did, but this seems wierd that u need some new software. i just thought that maybe i'm doing something different & someone doing something & maybe someone else or me will try out every permutation /combination & it might work, cause it says connected but it does not transfer data.
or maybe u need to install a simple wingate or sygate proxy on ur host computer to give the 9500 access just like you would with another computer. maybe assign a specific IP & input DNS in the 9500.
One more question, if my computer is connected to the net via a LAN can i pass this net connection to another computer via a modem , which is present in my computer also.
cause the 9500 is actine like a MODEM right now for data input & Sync is acting like some server (i think) for input & output data.
am i on the right track or is it just crazy talk?? (just applying some simple logic)
You need Nokia 9500 (RNDIS).
It's a piece of driver to make the bridge connection work. Can't do anything but wait or writing one by yourself.
If someone of you have managed how to write the inf file, i please him to link it here.
Nokia Network Bridge available for download: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,70578,00.html

Thanks N/A!
this link seems to be dead. it does not exist. am searching the nokia site for this software
It was there. I don't know what happened. I imagine it'll come back. It was in the same place where the 9500 software was downloadable.
I got it, but it was too complicated for me to understand it...
I still don't see it on the site. Where can you find it?
I can email them to you, if you want.:
Nokia_Network_Bridge.exe - 7Mb
Nokia_Network_Bridge_UG_en.pdf - 87kb
Please do...thanks...
