3620 on t mobile: some errors and proper config Q's?

Hello, I'm new, I have a 3620 and I'm using it on Tmobile. it works great I love it. (just wish it had a bit more ram...) Well anyway I got a few problems.

sometimes when someone calls or I get a message, the phone will start with the ringtone I set (a wav tone) then it stops about a sec or two thru and starts the Nokia tune. Why is that. is it low on ram? and why only some people call and not others? same with when I recieve a message. it normaly plays " master I have a message for you" but sometimes it just gets to " master I have... BEEP"

Another problem I have. I can receive text messages but I can't send any: " unable to send text message" even to my self.. but I can send a Multimedia message to my self. but I'm not sure if I can send it to anyone else. since I have tried and it says it sends it but they never get it. I guess they can't receive them? (differnt carrier)

for the sending text messages, make sure you have 1 and the area code before the number you're sending it to.

yeah I thought that was the problem but even with the full 10digit phone # I get the same error. I guess I'll take it into a t-mobile store and have them look at it. eh.. they'll probably ask " why does this not look like our phone.. "
