I bought 512 mb MS Pro Duo officially from Sony for 143$.
My problem is When I put the MS Pro Duo in the Card Reader , It doesn't detect the card.
But If I put the Sandisk's MS Pro Duo (Which came with my P910 ) it detects the card without any problem.I've tried sony MS Pro Duo in my Sony Handycam and It works without any problem.
Does Sony MS Pro Duo need different Card Readers/Writers ? or Does It have anything to do with "MagicGate" ?
I think it has something to do with Magicgate. None of my cards (32, 256, 512) work in my PC card type reader. Went to the "Sony Store" at the mall over Christmas and they have a PCMCIA card reader on back-order for me which they claim will work. We'll just see about that 🙄
Did you solve this problem? I upgraded my memory on the P900 to 512MB and it doesn't work. But, my 128MB works fine. I read somewhere, not in the manual, that the limit on the sony is 128MB. Does anyone know if that is correct?
That is correct. The P900 only takes up to 128MB. The P910 CAN accept these bigger cards...
