Can anyone help I am on my second phone on orange and now the keypad light on my 6630 wont light up most times then all of a sudden it will come on for a couple of seconds and go off. Also how do I find out what the firmware is onmy phone what buttons do I need to press to find this out thanx

The keypad won't be lit if there's sufficient ambient light, and lights up again when in a darker environment.. This is a feature of the 6630 with its light sensor.
Press *#0000# to see the software version.
