right, where do i start?
I recently bought tomtom mobile for my nokia 6600, and i am having a few problems, someone please help me!!!!!! :con?
Basically, tomtom mobile came with a 128mb sd card with the program and maps already installed onto it.
I am currently using a 256mb MMC card and do not want to lose all my files on it. so i want to transfer the tomtom mobile files on the sd card onto my current memory card.
sounds easy? NO!
firstly, i connected my phone with the tomtom card inside onto my pc, used pc suite and transferred all the contents onto the pc. then from the pc i transferred it onto my own mmc card. but this did not work!!!!! 😡
so i used FExplorer and looked through all the files on the tomtom card to see what i had missing, copied them and transferred it onto my own memory card.
Right, this kind of worked, as i can load up the tomtom program now but the screen is blank with the message 'no maps found' or something written accoss.
WHAT DO I DO?!?!? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! :frown:
im pretty certain most of the files on tomtom are on my card.
much aprreciated.

or can someone just tell me how to do it easily with no hassle so i can use tomtom mobile on my own memory card.

Dont use the PC Suite it corrupts the data, the only way I was able to do it was to transfer the files with a memory card reader. Make sure you keep the correct file structure when you do transfer the files over.

I'm no expert but check the directory structure, on your original TomTom card and this will have to be the same in terms of folders & sub folders when you copy it onto your 256mb card. If it is not then Then TomTom software will be looking in the wrong place and so will not be able to find the map location.

You may be aware of this already but if not give it a try.

I'm having problems getting a working copy for the P910i their seems to be working copies for just about every other device kicking around. I can't buy another full version as I already bought a TomTom device & a 1gb memory stick duo.

Regards

Simon
