Format for phone number in Contacts

Hello, I have just joined the group although been monitoring it for a while - what knowledgeable folk you are!

I have been a long-time Psion user (Organiser / S3 / S5) and am intending to migrate to a 9300 or 9500. On the Psion I store UK phone numbers without any international prefix e.g. a London number would be 020 8123 4567. When I travel overseas and change my home city to say Paris, if I select dial on the organiser the number will be automatically converted to +44 20 8123 4567. This is a great feature.

All of my current Psion S5 contacts are synchronised with Outlook 2003 and I will use this method to populate the contacts on the 9300 / 9500.

Whilst I expect to be able to automatically dial number from my contacts when the home city is in the UK, is there a similar facility to the Psion that will automatically format my phone numbers when the Home City is changed?

I have looked through the manual and tried to get this feature to work on a 9210 but to no avail.

I cannot believe I am going to have to reformat all my UK numbers to +44 20 etc

Please advise how I should handle this?

Thanks.

Sorry but you are going to have to change all your numbers +44 unless some company makes software for doing that.

Putting + in front of every new number is my rule for some time now. 😉
