How much phone memory did your 6630 have available when brand new?
Mine has around 8.9MB free with nothing saved to phone memory, is this normal?

I'd say it is normal... but the exact amount of free memory can be different because the branding of the phone includes MMS messages in your inbox, themes, wallpapers, etc so the free memory for a Vodafone 6630 or a TIM 6630 or an Orange 6630 can be different....
