Hi all, I have a Nokia 6600 and want to connect it to my laptop, I have installed a bluetooth dongle and got phone to connect using windows, but the pc suite will not find phone, M Router is trying to use either COM 4 or COM 5 which is setup as a Bluetooth Serial port, but all it says is the Phone is not connected,
Hope someone can please help as I need to syncronise my contact & calendar information
Cheers
John
i have a very similar problem - i can get the phone to connect to and find laptop. Under winXP i can find the phone from my laptop by going to my bluetooth places and it'll show me some folders that are on the phone. For some reason though the phone suite by nokia won't connect??
Before anyone asks, i have tried both the original cd and downloading the phone suite from nokia, the drivers i have for the dongle do work and are the latest in faqct my pc is completely up to date.
I'll freely admit that i don't really know what i'm doing anymore and any help would be gratefully received is there a walkthrough guide or something???
Try this...
1) Go to the bluetooth device control panel (The Windows one), and remove your phone.
2) Open the mRouter Properties and check the box only for "com 500 bluetooth"
3) Right click the mRouter system tray icon and select "Connect to a device"
4) If your device is detected select it and click OK
5) Be patient, after clicking OK to connect sometimes it takes 30 seconds or so to connect to the phone and then if you have tasks set up in PC Suite they will run.
Hope that helps, I had problems when I setup the connection in windows before I connected in mRouter
please help I am having the same problem, I am using XTND connect blue manager and that detects my phone and I can send data to my phone though not my MMC which is what I want to do, but mrouter doesnt connect my phone or says port is busy when it isnt and pc suite says phone not connected when XTND can find it, really puzzled have re installd untold times and tried different applications to no avail, thanks in advance, completely stuck :frown:
Do a quick search on this, it has come up a few times in the week or so i have been on here. One of them was me.
I could send stuff to my phone 1 file at a time before.
You need PC suite to do multiple files at once, but to set it up is for some reason very difficult. I had 2 problems.
1) I had set up the bluetooth and my phone to be paired, but this is not enough to be regognised by PC suite. You need to go into "My Bluetooth Places" with the phone bluetooth switched on. Then you need to click the phone icon and you are given a number of options. Then go to the serial port and try to connect to you phone, i had an error come up a number of times but eventually they connected to each other. THEN the mRouter should regognise the phone. (you may need to have the LAN firewall switched off, i am not sure)
2) Dont load the software to the secondary disk drive, for some reason it gets stuck on the "please give your phone a unique name".
