ibook with OSX and bleutooth GPRS

Hi,

I am trying to get my X to talk to my old apple ibook running OSX for gprs internet access.

I found a lot of info for all types of bluetooth/gprs phones. But none of the settings and modem scripts I tried work.

I can connect to the phone with iSync and exchange the address base, appointments and todo's (after installing bluetooth update 1.5).

Anyone some pointers, maybe an idea what the script should exactly do?

Suit,

I run a Powerbook G4 0n 10.2.8 and had similar problems. Tried all modem scripts could find to no avail (scripts care of Ross Barkman's excellent page http://www.taniwha.org.uk/). Finally decided to try dialing up using Apple article 24654 as a guide (connect using terminal window and null modem). Ironically this worked with the ISP phone number missing out of the PPP settings but with the password in place, Heartening! I then tried to connect using GPRS and it didn't work until I left the "connect using terminal window" checked in the PPP options window. Having done this I can now go on line with GPRS using Ross's Generic GPRS CID 1 script. When told to connect the modem starts to dial, opens a terminal window, closes it with nothing entered, and then goes on line!

Give it a try!
