After getting fed up of Realplayer, I installed UltraMP3 and Mp3Player 3.01.
However, mp3 playback on both of these is not right. Using exactly the same mp3 files as with Realplayer, every so often the sound crackles, and sometimes skips for a fraction of a second.
And it gets worse when launching and using other apps whilst playing mp3s, almost as if the phone hasn't got enough processing power to do both. If I start up a game, the clicking/crackling corresponds to the on-screen action.
It doesn't make those two mp3 players unusable, but it should not be happening at all.
This happens with mp3s of different bitrates, and the strange thing is, the default Realplayer plays every single one perfectly, with no clicking/crackling/stuttering even with multiple apps launched and being used at the same time.
I do hope this is just a Symbian 8.0 compatibility issue. Has anyone else tried UltraMP3 or Mp3Player 3 on their 6630?
