I recently got the Nokia Communicator 9500.
When I set the profile to offline, and then tried to deactivate offline it refused to set itself back, even though it claimed it had switched to another profile it still remained in offline state. (and the display on the outside remained dead)
The only way to get rid of the offline prof seems to be to switch off the phone and on again.
I had the phone replaced at the shop, but the new one has the same problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this difficulty?
Almost the same problem here. I activated the offline profile and deactivated it to go back to my standard profile. No problem so far, but I had to switch on the phone manually. I can't remember if it was the same with the Flight profile on my 9210.
I don't think it's a problem, it worked exactly the same way on the 9210i... You'll just have to put up with it...
Yes, I think it was designed that way so you can use WIFI etc without having to turn the actual phone part on.

It seemed odd to me because it did not specify this in the manual (which would have been one more line to add).
