New X - Earpiece dead!

2 replies · 1,654 views · Started 14 January 2005

Initially my Sendo X handled calls okay. However, after a day I find that the earpiece is dead. When I dial out there is no ring tone in the earpiece, yet my landline phone rings. Also, when I connect from my landline to the Sendo I hear nothing in the earpiece, even though the call is connected.

When I select 'loudspeaker' on the Sendo it works fine, so I know the phone is connecting okay. Have I accidentally switched off the earpiece or is it a more serious fault? Rebooting the phone doesn't help.

I tried to upgrade the phone's software but because it's a Vodafone version there is no upgrade!

I've notified Sendo but I am still awaiting a response.

Take the back off the phone, remove the battery, and *CAREFULLY* tighten the four T6 screws under the battery. This may not cure the problem - if it doesn't, then I think you've got a faulty phone which should be returned to wherever you bought it from.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it didn't work! I bought it online from Vodafone so I'll send it back next week.
