Password after (soft) reset

Hi all,

Just wondering about something.
When I do a reset(battery/via program) when rebooting, the phone asks for a password (you can cancel it so it's not that important I presume). I've tried to fill it in with my PIN code and my (I can't find the word for it at the moment) "blokkeringswachtwoord" => @ Delta 😉, the code you have to give when inserting another sim, or when your phone is locked.
But both codes are incorrect... So I don't know what password that could be.

Regards,

Jan-Willem

Try to use the password of your MMC card 😉 that should solve the problem.
There's one thing I'd like to know does anyone know how to format an MMC card that is password locked by usng a card reader on your pc? Assuming of course we've forgotten the password.

Thank you, that's the password indeed. But it didn't solve my problem, because... I don't remember my password. I took the card out of my "old" 6600, but now i don't remember the password.

I read some articles about formatting your 6600 may help to also format your MMC, but with no luck.

Does anyone know how to remove this password? Thanks in advance!

Did you try to format your MMC yet or not? Maybe use a card reader instead of formatting it in the phone. Just a wild guess...

have you set remote phone lock password? if you have set it then it will be the same password, otherwise it's 12345

Hi,

Still I have no acces to the mmc card. I've tried all my possible pwd's, tried to acces it with a card reader but no luck...

Now it's back in my 6600, but the only option I can chose is unblock mmc, but then i have to give the password 😡

Someone other solutions that could work ?

Go to file manager on your phone, in the "Settings" option, choose to see the system folders, "System" folder on the phone there's a file called "MMCSTORE", send that to your PC using IR/BT, then open it in notepad. the password you need for your mmc card is in that file! (it may have some spaces in that shouldn't be there tho' 😊)

If you format the phone without the card, I think that you still can't access your mmc.

Maybe you can try this:
1. take out the mmc
2. set the device security to on. The one that can lock the phone from sms.
3. close the phone
4. insert the mmc
5. turn on the phone
6. send sms to the phone to have it lock(with sms lock message)
7. unlock it with your phone unlock code
8. unlock the mmc with the 'sms lock message'

if this doesn't work. Than I really don't know another solution.

Hope this help

is your phone have been formatted already? if no use seleq or filexplorer look for the mmc password on drive c by going into the system. a certain particular file but i forget the exact name which has a mmc word on it seen on system of c :> should be sent on your pc then try open it on your pc by right cliking and using open with choose note pad their you bget your password.
if you already formated the only way to remove is by formating it in either palm specially the old one black n white (definitely does not select any memory card or 9210 will do remove. 😃

hello, i also got trouble with my 9500. last time i formatted my 9500 (with mmc and sim card still in the device).after finished formatting, suddenly when i turned my 9500 on, it didn want to recognize my mmc and it also asked for a password (that password was also cancelable), when i put my pin paswd and try to put my lock device paswd, both codes also incorrect. can any body help me for this problem??
thanks

I've been in this situation before the solution is easy (at least to me) as what you have to do is goto Tools>Security>Device Security and click the Allow remote locking. After you have keyed in the 'text' for the remote locking, reboot your 9500 again and keyed in the remote locking 'text' as the password. It should solve your problem...

Good luck!! 😊
