Battery Blues on my P910a

Hi Folks,

I've searched this forum and cannot find a reference to this so a little help will be greatly appreciated.

I bought my 910a 2 weeks ago and since the day I bought it the battery life has been woeful. I talking about when I take it off the charger the battery is completely dead in about 7-8 hours! And this while doing nothing! I'm not making phone calls or running applications it's just sits there and goes dead. Thanks to this forum I learned about and installed Sman to stop applications from running in the background, I also tried Tracker but it still dies. I could understand the short life if it was under constant use but this is not the case.

I got a replacement battery from my dealer and still have the same problem. Something is amiss, could it be the phone itself? I am going to reset the software to just the bare bones once I figure out how, but I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Don

Hi,

Go back to the shop and demand a new phone, that's what it sounds like to me...

They gave you a new battery and it's still the same, bring it back and complain !!!

You get a 15 month warranty on SE phones, I heard anyway....

Good luck !

I had the same, but already with my P800, and now with my P910. All points to a software problem - something goes wrong, some process hangs and starts draining the battery like mad - in worst case I noticed the battery going really hot and being drained in maybe 2 hours....
It always went away when I did a complete reset, and when I am lucky it does not reappear for weeks, when I'm unlucky it reappears within days 😡
I got rid of some software, and now it seems to happen much less frequently (Handy Day, One for All Solitaire and a few others... but I have no clue which one might be the culprit!)
