I don't know how to, and whether it is a all possible, setup my A925 to send E-mails. I set up my E-mail account and internet account. I can receive my messages, but I can't send any. Do I need an E-mail client or is ti possible to do it with the phone itself.
My frimware version is: 3080.20.
@Szadzik, as long as your A925 is unlocked from the Three network you should be able to send/receive email using the Messaging app. Remember the SMTP server will be that for your network provider. For exmaple. my network is O2 therefore the SMTP is smtp.o2.co.uk
😉

Depending on what mailserver he's using, it isn't even necessary to unlock the phone. I was using my own mailserver when my A925 was locked without any problems.
I agree that there is an option of setting up an smtp server, all servers (smtp) I'm using however, require logging in with a username and password, there is no such option for smtp server in A925.

Yes, that's correct. The built in e-mail client does not support logging in to SMTP servers. Unlocking the phone won't help. Perhaps ProfiMail works. Beware though that it's not free, and I haven't tried it so I don't know if it supports what you're looking for.
hi !
the problem is that some email-providers (yahoo for example)
has a smtp-server that requires "smtp-authentication" which the standard email-program doesnt support.
use profimail, i has "smtp-auth..." , then you can use yahoo for example

Yes, I believe I mentioned that. Yesterday. 😊
hi !
albatorsk: yes you did, but:
1. i wasnt sure that you were meaning the same thing,
so i wanted to explaine the problem (smtp-authentication)
2. as you said "Perhaps ProfiMail works. Beware though that it's not free, and I haven't tried it so I don't know if it supports what you're looking for.",
i just wanted to confirm that it works, at least with yahoo...
