Infrared Problem Please Help!!!

Hi there😊

i am havin a strange problem with my nokia6600... my infrared doesnt go off!!! its turned on perfectly fine, tranfer of data is normal... but it doesnt go off... i even tried usin the seleq to turn it off but then the phone hangs and i have to take the battery out to restart it...

please help me on this one!!! thank u all very much in anticipation!!!

It should turn off by itself after a while, if there is no connection (there is no setting or anything like that to turn it off). If that doesn't happen, the phone could be broken, somehow.
