Little problem with my 9500, but this time a hardware problem. 😞
The phone side speaker gives a bad quality, like an old speaker with can't handle bass... Just today I got this problem, got the phone already 3 weeks... Does anyone have had that problem also?
I think i'll take it back to a nokia service point the week i go on ski vacation... It's not a very big problem, but for that price I think that really can't be... correct me if I'm wrong.

You're actually right , for that price that shouldn't be the case , it's suppose to be their top of the line mobile

I have the same problem since the beginning, the outside speaker has a very poor quality (quite metallic sound) compared to my P910i. But for me, and i hope it is so, its more a software problem....

I don't think it's a sw problem, because when I bought the phone, the quality was great, only for yesterday it sounds indeed "metallic", and even after a format it still sounds that way...
I think I return the phone tomorrow, i'll keep this post up-to-date when I hear more...

Just brought my 9500 to a Nokia Service Point. They said it could be dust in the speaker. I post as soon as I have the phone back. Also asked for a firmware upgrade... If they had one, they would install it!
@Delta, hope so eather 4 you, but be aware of the "open" froncover, there's no dustfilter between the opening of the speaker and the speaker itselfs...

I can only confirm that dust is definitely a problem for the outer speak. Today I encountered this metallic sound confirm.be was talking about. Even changing the volume up and down would not have any effect, so while waiting on the line at our NSC I was surfing and found this post.
So, I just opened the cover and gave it a gentle blow 😊) put it back and now the sound is great again.
So dust, after some time, does affect the outer speaker, maybe we should put some kind of filter or just clean it from time to time.
My 9500 was made by Nokia. They put a new speaker and now the phone is as it was before, great service!
Also they installed the new firmware 4.51
I would advise anyone who had this problem to go to a NSC and let them check it, the phone is expansive enough, so it has to be in good shape!!

I replaced 2 Nokia 9500 set since i bought, Bought from voda fone UK from a month ago. Both time have same outside speaker problem. Very poor quality , and after few days it gets worse , even not working at all , Now received third handset, Let see how much days it will take to get worse. Totaly Unstasfied from Nokia
