What car do you drive? (Part 2)

I found a 2 year old thread back, called "What car do yo drive?". All pictures were lost because this forum migrated to different systems a few times, but since most of you probably have a new car anyway (I didn't even have my drivers license back then  ) I thought it would be a good idea to revitalise the thread, and make a part II. I hope you all like the idea and post pics and facts about your car

I'll start with my own car. I just have a (what Jeremy Clarkson would call) "boring" Opel Vectra from 1998. It is a 2.0dti engine with 100bhp. It does around 200km/h (and since I live only 15 minutes away to an almost deserted German Autobahn, I can try that out a lot 😃). Furthermore it has nice little gadgets like Climate Control, Cruise Control and a wooden look to the dashboard (from the "plastic tree" so to say 😉 ) I also have a budget Medion GPS system which works ok.

I'm currently driving a Citroen Xsara. Images if I can link em from my sounddomain site:

Facts: erm, it's got an SQ install with the idea being to attempt to compete in IASCA UK this year, the system has hit 132.9 dbs at 40Hz previously, though I aim to get that a bit louder this year.

Wooo...that's an old thread!....I now drive a Honda Civic Type-R, and share a RX-8.

Nice system Switchblade, you know what happened to mine in the old Civic! :frown:

Ok, few little facts about Civic, it produces 200bhp from a 2.0 DOHC Vtec 4 Cylinder Engine (100bhp per Litre), does 0-60 in claimed 6.6 seconds, and tops out at 147mph (Although i've never tested that claim) Had a bright red interior with bucket seats, it's colour is cosmic grey...i'll post some pics when I get a chance. (I'm at work ATM)

The RX-8 is rubbish, it's a hair dressers car and I don't want to talk about it 😎 (Joke), it's the slower 192bhp version, it's a nice car to drive, has 4 doors (back ones are suicide doors), it's nice for what it is, but needs more power.

My last civic i crashed into a ditch/bus shelter before xmas.

Edit: Found baby pics

This week I sold my Ford Mondeo 1.8 TD which had 220,000 miles on the clock (that's not a typing error) and it was still able to do 90Mph (of course, that's just an educated guess)! I miss that old beast because the engine was solid as a rock (even if nothing else was).

Now I've got a Citroen Xsara 1.9 LX D. I miss the Mondeo's Turbo, but having the fan able to blow both hot and cold air (among other things not broken) is nice.

My car is called 'The Pequod'.

Am I the only saddo around here who's named his car?

my mum used to call her metro "ethel", but as she doesnt use these forums, your question has a very real possibility of becoming truth!

i used to have a 309 gti nicknamed the "bitch" but only 'cos the last three reg letters were "haw"

ive got a p plate escort 1.8i ghia x saloon. quite quick for an old mans car really. its also got a wooden dashboard from (probably) the same plastic tree plantation as Delta737's 😃

well heres my twupence worth....I have a 1999 Seat Toledo V5...2.3L, 150 horses, and every concievable extra you can think of - electric leather seats and trim, climate control, elec windows, no sunroof (never get to use it here) 🙄, CD multichanger (6 discs in glove box)...'cept GPS...no pics as yet...to come (when rain goes off <sigh>😉

No name....as hopefully gonna change it this year for a turbo diesel...prob a Skoda Octavia/Superb.

Uvatha

I've got a 2yr old Clio 1.2 - great car, just lacking in power. 13k trouble free miles, hoping to get rid of it this year and replace it with a Suzuki GSXR600.
