Opinons on replacement phone for an old 7650

My 7650 is on the way out and needs to be replaced. Do you have any opinions on a good replacement phone.

The features I would like are:

  • Keypad always accessible. I.E. not a sliding/flip keypad
  • GPRS
  • Bluetooth compatible with Palm Tungsten T3 PDA
  • No slower than the 7650 for e-mail handling
  • Sync with Outlook 2003 and Windows XP
  • Storage card. Ideally SD but MMC/RS-MMC ok.
  • Available now or fairly soon in the UK

Features it would be nice to have but not essential are:

  • Tri-band
  • 3G
  • Compatible with external keyboard
  • Compatible with existing S60 software
  • Loudspeaker for hands free use (I'm not keen on Bluetooth headsets)

Features that would be great to have, but I doubt possible considering above items

  • WiFi built-in (have tried a 9500 but it is too big for a day-to-day phone and too slow for e-mail)

At the moment I am considering a Nokia 7610, 6670 or 6630. Or Sendo X. Being a Palm PDA user I am even considering jumping ship and going for a Palmone Treo 650.

Any opinions or suggestions?

have a look at the 7610 or the 6630 if you want a 3G, i have had both and think the 6630 is the best smartphone avial now 😃

Thanks for the reply daywalker. 6630 looks favourite.

Any other opinions from anyone?

I think your other options would be the Nokia 6670 (essentially a variant of the 7610 for intents and purposes), you may prefer its key pad layout.

The 3230 (due out very soon) is also a very nice phone.
