could somebody tell me how to remove the op logo on the communicator.. i got the file but not sure where to save it in phone memory inorder to activate it.

thanks

On the telephone side under Menu/Settings/Display settings/Operator logo
You can decide if you want to have it on or off.

If you go the file manager, you will find the actual file(s) under:
c:\system\data\logos

You can just delete these *.ota files and then you automatically loose the operator logo.

Cheers,

Tilman

ok tried it but i have no file called logos in my data

You should have a folder called logos which contains the ota files. Otherwise run a search in the file manager to find the files on your communicator. Are you sure you have an operator logo installed?

I can't seem to find the logo folder in my 9300 too even search no results, have been trying all ways to have my operator logo removed, pls help :frown:

The logos should be here:
c:\system\data\logos (Can you access the system folders?)

Have you already downloaded a logo?
Check from the outer screen under Settings\Display Settings\Operator logo if is on or off.

I just checked on my 9500 and I have a *.ota file in the folder specified above, but have set the logo to be actually off.

Check from your local Nokia site if they offer a free logo download, like they do in Switzerland, and get one.

I hope this will help.

No, I'm not able to locate a system/data folder under the file manager. Operator logo on the external screen is off and i've downloaded a blank operator logo file but it's save on the communicator screen, not sure how to save it onto the small external screen as we are not able to access wap directly from the external screen :frown:

Go to the file manager and press shift+ctrl+k and set it to yes. Now you should see your system folders.

Because of this we cant have blank operator logos since they come as .nol files and 9500 supports .ota files

Ok I managed to get it yesterday in fact! Din know must turn it on at the Settings option. However i'm unable to track the sub folder LOGO in the system folder....what is happening?? :frown:

Has anyone ever deleted their operator logo? i cant find the file on the file manager system files.

I have, But you need V5.22 firmware to be able to do it,

Once you have V5.22, get someone to send you a blank logo,

It's great not having Orange covering my picture, lol

Carl,

i just used logomanager with an old 6210 i connected via infrared.

Loaded a blank.nol logo file, and sended it via the 6210 to my 9500

i now have a transparent blank logo.

2bad my operator is using 2 lines in his logo, so i only got rid of the first line 😞

Support for blank logo's was only added to V5.22 firmware,

is the logo manager a pc app? where did you download the blank.nol file?

This is what i did...
1. Got my phone upgraded to 5.22(1) software version.
2. went to yahoo.co.in
3. followed the instructions for downloading operater logo's (you can also make your own)

VOILA!!! i've got excellant logo's with transparent backgrounds..

Now it more like it....

logomanager.com

it's on old nokia phone program, with wich we changed logo's and backgrounds, and ringtones.

blank.nol can be found @
jhonny.org/wap

logomanager does not connect to nokia 9500... at least i cant get it connected...
& jhonny.org/wap does not open on my nokia 9500... maybe other WAP dedicated browsers only...

Anyways i'm happy now with "HYPER" written in black instead of my operator's name...
This is perfect... just what i wanted...

hmz, i never said i connected my 9500 with logomanager 😉
as said in my first post, i used on old 6210 with infrared, connected to logomanager, and then used the function, send logo to other phone 😉

and i opened the wap page on a regular pc 😊

but with logomanager you can design your own logo's 2

Peace

since logo manager has been designed for monochrome lcds,
did the logo come out as a 'normal' logo or is there a rectangular 'block' thats there with the text written inside it?

can u post a pic of ur 9500 with ur logo?

it is just blank, there is nothing to see 😊

but since v5.22 it supports transparent logo's
so if you send a logo, it will be displayed as a 'normal' logo, and not as a rectangular block 😊
