Sendo X and Vodafone

I had to return my recently purchased X to Voda due to a fault on the ear-piece. I was happy to receive a replacement X but Voda informed me that they had no more internal stock. Their system classed it as an 'obsolete' phone!

The only way to get one is via their website as they have discontinued it and are just clearing stock.

This seems a real shame - there is much about the phone to admire, especially the way the software and navigation works. It seems silly that the phone has done well abroad but failed to take off in its native country.

I just wonder whether Sendo will bother upgrading their software for Vodafone customers, given that Vodafone has dumped the phone?

I now have to decide whether to buy a new Vodafone contract Sendo before it's too late or ... buy an SPV C500! But we mustn't discuss that on a Symbian forum lol. Thereagain, if anyone has used both phones I'd love to hear your opinion of how they compare.

The only gripe I had with the Sendo X was the small size of the number keys. For a business phone they seemed too tiny for the average adult digits. As I like to text I found this a problem.

Vodafone have many quite a few strange decisions regarding this phone. If you like the phone i suggest you stick with it because i have heard its quite alot better than the C500. Oh, and the fact that it runs on a windows OS really puts me off 😊

If you are not a fan of the keys, have you considered purchasing the Sendo X keyboard?
