SlovoEd Dictionaries on the 9500

Epocware have recently announced that its SlovoEd range of dictionaries are now fully compatiable and available for the Nokia 9500. With 30 different languages in 150 combinations the software offers is an excellent option for translation. The software will also shortly be available for the Series 90 Nokia 7710.

Main features of SlovoEd Nokia 9500 Software

* Simple and easy-to-use interface, available in 6 different languages.
* A series of databases from general lexicons to professional vocabularies, licensed from leading and well-known linguistic companies and specially adapted for Nokia 9500 Communicator.
* Great number of word entries.
* Low memory consumption, powerful compression technology enables high data compression ratio (up to 100,000 words in as little as 600 KB) with high access rate.
* The possibility to install several Nokia 9500 software dictionaries at the same time (for example, German-English, French-English, and English explanatory dictionary for Nokia 9500).
* Wildcard search: if you have some doubts about word spelling, you can search for this word using "?" and "*" symbols instead of doubtful letters.
* Transcription support (for some Nokia 9500 dictionaries).
* Color marking of word entries.
* Search history (the list of words you searched recently). You can see any word from the history again at any time.

I tried them and like the SE P800/P900 SlovoEd product line these Nokia 9500 compatible SlovoEd dictionaries are also quite weak quality products. I don't recommend them. And in the past this company claimed that all future upgrade's free but that wasn't true.
