My new 6630 arrived today and I can't get the back cover off. I can push the button in and slide the cover up a few mm, then it stops. I can't see anyway of getting it off without breaking it.
Any ideas (apart from laughing at me) :con?

Slide a fingernail under the bottom bit then pull away from 1 side, it will come off and you wont break it!! :icon14: 😃

HAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Sorry.
Anyway, you just need to give the chrome button a good old shove, preferably with a fingernail. Make sure it goes in as far as it can go. Then wiggle the back cover from left to right whilst sliding it off. It'll come off easily.
Anyone has any luck with the front cover? mine does not budge at all!!
Mine was also v stiff ( 😉 ) after a few open & close it's alot easier to open now,
I found that pressing the metal button really hard then pressing the centre of the back of the case in below the camera with a slight upward movement should release the back.
Failing that it's mr screwdriver time I guess :tongue:
