Hi,

I have some freeware software to put on my Nokia 6630, on vodafone, however i get this message when i send files to my phone using nokia pc suit ''instalation security error, unable to install''

I want to install this software, can anyone help?

Paul

By default Voda set the phone so you can not install software - god knows why.
Try going to:-
menu/tools/manager/options/settings/software installation
and set it to ON

Should do the trick 😊

OK, I also just got a Vodafone KK (Japan) 6630, and even though the software installation is set to "on", I get the "Installation Security Error" message, and it will not install Worldmate, or Metro (sis files) it DID install gotmail viewer (JAP Java file). Both Worldmate and Metro do not come with certificates, i think it has something to do with that. Any thoughts?

These damn Japanese always lock out as much thrid party freedom on phones as they can.

i nedd to install pc suit ''instalation security error, unable to install''

I want to install this software, can anyone help?

Abhijit
